Why Covenant Café Exists (And Why Jonestown)
Every café has a story.
Ours started long before the sign, the buildout, or the first cup of coffee was ever poured.
Covenant Café was born from love, loss, restoration, and a calling to create a place where people experience the love of Jesus.
Our Café Love Story
More than ten years ago, we met working in a café.
I was waitressing, baking, and learning my way around the espresso machine. He walked in for an interview, and something about that moment felt different.
Two years later, we were married.
Life unfolded the way it often does—children, responsibilities, dreams put on hold, and seasons we never expected to walk through. What once felt like a happily ever after turned into a season of deep brokenness. But God wasn’t finished with our story.
Through faith, prayer, and restoration, our covenant was renewed. And with that renewal came a dream that had been quietly waiting all along: to open a café rooted in love, community, and purpose.
Covenant Café is the result of that redemption and a decision to plant roots right here in Jonestown—to build something lasting in the town we call home.
The Meaning of “Covenant”
A covenant is more than a promise.
It’s a commitment made with intention, faith, and love—especially when things are hard.
We chose the name
Covenant Café because it reflects a commitment to show up—with intention, integrity, and love.
Rooted in the words “Dear friends, let us love one another,” this space was created to serve with purpose: to care for people as a whole.
We believe food should nourish the body, connection should strengthen the mind, and love—freely given—should tend to the spirit. Every cup poured and every dish prepared is an act of faithfulness to that calling.
Why Jonestown Needed This
Jonestown is special. It’s a place where families grow, neighbors wave, and community still matters.
Jonestown is home- Where we are raising our babies and making memories.
We saw a need for a space where people could slow down. Where mornings start with homemade breakfast and great coffee. Where friendships form over tables, and conversations linger longer than the last sip.
Covenant Café is being built specifically for this community—with intention, warmth, and a heart to serve Jonestown well for years to come.
